The Lake District might be known for its breathtaking views and outdoor adventures, but let’s face it – the weather doesn’t always play ball. Fortunately, when the rain rolls in, it doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.
Welcome to Honister Slate Mine – one of the most highly rated tourist destinations in the Lake District, offering unique experiences that are just as exciting in wet weather.
Where is Honister?
You’ll find us high in the fells, nestled at the top of Honister Pass in Borrowdale – one of the most scenic (and dramatic) routes in the Lake District. We’re perfectly positioned between Keswick and Buttermere, making us an ideal stop on any Lake District adventure.
