This Halloween, venture deep beneath the Lake District fells… if you dare. The mountain holds its secrets well – but for a few nights this October, we’ll share the stories that echo through the tunnels after dark.

Join us underground at Honister Slate Mine for an eerie, atmospheric storytelling adventure by lantern light – where every footstep and shadow hints at something lurking just out of sight.

This isn’t your average Halloween scare-fest. These tales are drawn from real mining folklore, preserving the memory of those who worked – and sometimes lost their lives – deep inside this iconic Lake District mountain. It’s storytelling, the Honister way – immersive, spine-tingling, and grounded in true Cumbrian history.
