Perched at the top of Honister Pass, the Bait Cabin has been fuelling adventurers, walkers and visitors for years. Whether you're about to take on the mountain or you've just come down from it, there's always something good waiting. Hot food made fresh on site, proper coffee, homemade cakes and a view that makes everything taste better.

At 1,167 feet above sea level, Honister Pass is one of the highest mountain passes in England, and the Bait Cabin sits right at the top of it. The panoramic views across the fells are reason enough to visit, even before you factor in the food.

Hearty homemade soups, bacon and sausage sandwiches, toasties, ice cream and cakes that disappear fast. Everything is made fresh on site, or by local partners. Real food for people who've been doing real things. We also cater for a range of dietary needs, so there's something for everyone at the table.
