The Slate Shop
Honister slate has been hewn from this mountain for centuries. The Slate Shop is where it comes to life, hand-crafted gifts, homewares and keepsakes made from genuine Honister green slate. Whether you're looking for something to take home or a gift that means something, you won't find anything like it anywhere else. This is the real thing, made at the source.
Parking
Free on-site parking is available for all Honister activity guests, and just £5 per day for visitors. The pass itself is a single-track road, narrow, dramatic and worth every mile, so allow a little extra time from the valley and take it steady. Sat nav to CA12 5XN will get you here.
Overnight parking is available too, if you're making a full weekend of it in the fells.
