What to expect
From the car park to the deeps. Here's how the day unfolds.
Step 1
Helmet on. Lantern lit.
Check in 30 minutes before your session, get fitted with helmet and headlamp, and receive your safety briefing. Meet your guide, the person who knows every tunnel, every story and exactly how to tell them in the dark.
Step 2
The world outside disappears
You enter the mine horizontally, straight into the mountain. The temperature drops. The sounds of the outside world fade. The tunnels stretch ahead. This is where the stories begin.
Step 3
300 years of history. Some of it dark.
