Whether this is your first time off the ground or you're a seasoned adventurer hunting your next hit, this one delivers. First-timers come off it grinning like they've won something. What You Need To Know
Everything you need before you arrive. Come prepared, come ready, and come for the adventure of it.
Minimum age
8 years+
Under-16s must be accompanied by a participating adult (18+).

Allow time to kit up, get clipped in and meet your guide before your session starts.
Minimum height
1.25 metres
Max weight 18st / 114kg. Waist under 43 inches, thighs under 27 inches. Harness specs – not a judgement.

What to expect
From the moment you arrive to the moment you step back on land, here's how your adventure unfolds.
Get fitted. Get briefed. Get ready.
Check in 30 minutes before your session. Get fitted with a harness and helmet, receive your safety briefing, and meet the guide who'll be taking you across Europe's longest high-wire bridge.
Step 2
The mountain comes into view
Your guide leads you out onto Fleetwith Pike. The route opens up ahead of you, iron rungs, steel cables and the same path Victorian quarrymen walked to work every morning.
Step 3
One foot in front of the other
You step on. The wire moves. The valley drops away beneath you. Your guide is with you throughout, steady, encouraging, completely unbothered. You focus on the far side. You get there.
Step 4
Finish victorious
Solid ground. Big views. Whatever you thought this was going to feel like, it's better than that.

The mine is open year-round, offering a unique experience in every season. If you prefer fewer crowds, we recommend visiting during the off-peak months (autumn or winter). However, summer offers beautiful views and a vibrant atmosphere in the surrounding Lake District.
